My current underwater system, the one used for all photos since and including my Truk - 2004 trip, consists of the following:
- Canon Digital Rebel/300D camera
- Ikelite housing
- 2 Ikelite DS-125 strobes with manual controllers
- Sigma 14mm f2.8 lens
- Canon 50mm f2.5 macro lens
- I use a Pelican 1600 watertight case to transport the whole mess which has worked well
For more details about this system and my opinion of it, check out the system review I put together after my trip to Truk in February-2004.
My former underwater system, the one used for all photos before my Truk - 2004 trip, consists of an Olympus C-4040z camera in an Ikelite housing. With that, I use the following:
- Ikelite DS-125 strobe
- Inon UCL-330 macro adapter lens
- Inon UWL-100 wide angle adapter lens
- Four "generic brand" 128MB smartmedia memory cards. These will each hold about 130 of the type of images I take
- Two sets of 1800mAH rechargeable batteries, each will typically get me through two dives
- An Ansmann POWERline 4 smart charger
- I use a Pelican 1600 watertight case to transport the whole mess which has worked well
